BAR-L TEMPERATURE STRIPS
If you shoot enough to cause your barrel to heat up, you should have an idea just how hot your barrel is. Nothing can destroy a barrel and accuracy faster than an overheated barrel. These strips can be permanently fixed to the barrel with the heavy duty clear plastic tape strip provided with the BAR-L TEMP STRIP. Three ranges to choose.
Moderate Zero reads from 32F to 86F.
Benchrest reads from 86F to 140F.
General Purpose reads 86F to 194F.
The strips are easily read. If the box is green, that is the temperature of the barrel. As the barrel gets hotter, the next block goes from black to green. The previous block goes from green to black.

Bore Cleaning Brushes
Our brushes are the best available. The bristles are phosphor-bronze. The diameter is precise and slightly over-sized. We suggest that you use a brush that is 1 caliber smaller than the bore of the firearm being cleaned, e.g., use a .277 brush in a .284 bore. Wrap a patch around the brush for a snug fit that does not allow the bristles to contact the surface of the bore. The bristles are softer than the barrel steel but the brush can carry salts and "crud" from primers and powder which can abrade the bore.
The .17 adapter and the .22 cal brushes are for 7-32 thread. The larger brushes have 8-32 thread.
